Ok, Wellstar Urgent Care sucks! I've had severe neck pain since Wednesday. It feels like there are glands swollen in my neck and that they are just super swollen. The doctor this morning barely even felt my neck. They said that it was Cervical Adenitis (swollen neck glands).
I was in such severe pain and discomfort all day. Motrin was working fine today until 5pm. Then it just never felt like it kicked in. Then I took a Tylenol with Codeine that I was given at urgent care. After about 45 minutes of that not kicking in and not being able to get comfortable anywhere in my house, Jeff took me to Northside ER. OH YEAH! I'm feeling much better now! They determined that I am having muscle spasms of the neck and at the base of my skull. So, I had taken Motrin at 5pm, Tylenol with Codeine at 7pm, around 9pm I was given a muscle relaxer, Toradol (Emmy had that a lot and loved it!), fenagrin, and percacet. I'm feeling great. I still have some pain, but I can move so much more and I can lay down now. It's so nice! Yay!
I shared Emmy's story, briefly, with the nurse and she told me that her first baby was a boy and he had Down Syndrome. He passed away at 15 weeks old. Then she later had another baby that passed away as well. It was nice talking with her. She gave me her name and phone number because I told her that there's a lady that I was told about two days ago that is looking to put her unborn baby up for adoption. That baby has Down Syndrome.
God may be working in his mysterious way!
Amy - So glad you are feeling better!!! I was thinking at first that maybe they had missed strep throat as Daune had severe neck pain with strep this past weekend.
