Revelations

Earlier today, I was looking at this figurine on my kitchen window sill that Kara gave to me for Mother's Day.  I think it was Mother's Day in 2008.  Anyway, I've always felt that it was an odd figurine.  Kara is very particular about things.  She had Jeff get me this figurine with two girls and a kitty with a ball of yarn.  The girl kneeling down has dark brown hair and the little girl standing up has light brown hair.  It was always weird to me because she would say that was her and Emmy and I kept thinking that it's not Emmy because Emmy has dark brown hair.  Kara would agree, but say that it's ok.  We'll just pretend.

When I was looking at this figurine today, I realized that maybe it was God's message to me way back then that things are not going to be what I expect them to be.  Maybe that figurine is really Kara (dark hair) and Anna (light hair).  I think this is so fascinating!  It makes total sense because Anna has such light hair compared to Emmy and Kara.  That was also right around the time that I had just found out that I was pregnant with our third, Anna.
