We are sifting through our crap that has been piling up since Emmy was born. We've been so busy with enjoying life with Kara, Emmy & Anna Grace that we have let things gather in our basement. We have gotten rid of so much of our junk in our basement this week. It's such a nice feeling! We have a lot left to go, but we are starting to be able to at least visualize how things will be when we are done with our pre-spring cleanout!
We are not getting rid of Emmy's stuff. Don't get me wrong about that. :) I am putting some of Emmy's most treasured keepsakes in shadow boxes in my bedroom. I will be giving Anna Grace some of Emmy's porcelain dolls that were purchased before Anna was born. The other dolls I will have to think about. I might put them in my room or find another place for them.
Anna Grace will be moving into Emmy's room so we can enjoy that beautiful room and we can all remember the fun times we had with Emmy. Right now, we've not been going in Emmy's room much since there's really no reason to. I hate for it to just sit there and not be enjoyed. Also, Kara will be able to enjoy having another sister in there for her to watch out for at night time. We used to tell Kara that if Emmy cried, she needed to come and tell us. She loved having that responsibility and she never used it as a reason to get out of bed.
Well, as I sit in my frigid basement at my computer desk with CRAP surrounding me, I guess I should get back to work. ;)

P.S. - Kara had a great time today sledding down our driveway. I have to say that the 1" of predicted snow was maybe 1millimeter. As usual, they are totally wrong. Anyway, being that there was a good sheet of ice beneath that 1mm of snow, sledding was great for the Kara & the neighbor girls! Kara got a good scratched cheek & eye as she fell off the sled with the other two today. She says that it hurts when she pokes it. HA! Well, just don't poke it! :)
