Makes me smile... Emmy

Jeff and I ventured out today and shopped for our hall bath.  Nothing purchased really, but getting closer to knowing what we want in it.

Tonight, I went to my very first bible study.  I'm thinking that these women will most likely be one of the reasons how I'll be able to get through this journey.  I learned a lot tonight and I can't wait for our next study night.

I was sad again today.  I realize that I may be starting to be upset now because I'm finally really feeling her loss.  The services are done, the holidays are over and I was right...  here I am in my new normal and not doing well.  I'm doing ok, really, but I feel like I have a sumo wrestler on my back!

When I was driving home tonight from bible study, I remembered how Emmy would dance in her car seat when her favorite song would play.  When she would do that it would make me want to just stop the car and watch her with both eyes.  Not through the rear-view mirror, but really, with my actual eyes.  I wanted and hoped that I would never forget how she was at that age.  So you can enjoy my memories, here's the link to watch her dance in Jeff's recliner to last season's American Idol finale.   I just miss her sweet smiling, shimmying self.

  2. It's going to be hard, but it is wonderful you have so many good memories, sweet pictures, and videos to cherish. Thanks for sharing the dancing queen, it made me smile. It is also nice to have a video to remember her in action. I miss my sweet Emmy!

I hope this weekend went well for you at Scrapbooking and you got a lot done on Emmy's baby book. It will be nice to have her pictures in one place to look at and good for Kara and Anna to remember their sister. They will both really appreciate all you have done in the years to come to preserve Emmy's memory. Now too bad you can't embed a video page in a Scrapbook!
