I am writing this post today with sadness. A dear friend in my Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group, who comforted me at the hospital when I had no one else to talk to about this machine keeping Emmy alive, is now going back in the fighting ring with her daughter, Arden. Arden is four years old. Emmy would be four years old this Monday.
On Thursday, April 21st, Arden will be undergoing an open heart surgery that will complete(or start to complete) the reformation of her heart to work as a whole heart does. Arden was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, basically, half of a heart. Please pray endlessly over then next few months to cover this family and most importantly Arden with love and prayers that God will watch over her physicians and give them the knowledge and precision that He has! Pray that this family can handle the separation during this time since they live in Atlanta and the surgery and recovery will be in LA.
