Jeff and I had a great time tonight at the Alan Jackson concert. I had to post this as soon as I got home. Yes, it's super late/early. :)
Alan Jackson played a snippet of this song and I just started crying. He started at the chorus and just played 30 sec to 1 min of it, but it just touched me. I've been emotional lately so I wasn't surprised that I cried so easily, but I like this song for Emmy even if it's about a person who is also a wife and mother.
While I'm posting a song that I like cause it reminds me of Emmy, I will post this one. I've blogged about this before. There are some tweaks I would make to Already Gone since it's about a boyfriend and stuff, but it touches my heart even more than Alan's song.
Mommy: I want you to know, That it doesn't matter, Where we take this road
Emmy: But someone's gotta go, And I want you to know, You couldn't have loved me better, But I want you to move on, So I'm already gone
...
Mommy: You know that I love you so, I love you enough to let you go
Miss you Emmy so very much! 4 Months have passed and my heart is heavy. It is agony living life without you even though I lived life easily before you were conceived. It's funny how love changes everything. I would do it all over again in the exact same way! You were and are fearfully and wonderfully made!
Momma
